The Panthers' late-game surge pulled them to an 82-75 victory over Berea on Saturday against Berea College.
A tight contest all the way, the game was tied nine times and featured 13 lead changes.
BC jumped out to an early eight-point lead, but the Panthers battled their way back. Eight minutes into the first, a Kyle Smith three-pointer put LC up 16-13.
They held onto the lead for most of the remainder of the period, but at the half things stood at 39-39.
The same rhythm continued into the second half, with the lead exchanges continuing until LC pulled ahead with 3:36 remaining on a Camerin Lyons jump shot, making it 69-68. That launched a nine-point Panther run that propelled the team to the win.
A career-high 16 points from freshman guard Brodie Scott paced the Panthers, along with 14 points from junior forward Cooper Dolhancyk.
Scott also led the way in rebounds with 9, a number matched by Gabe Cofield. Bershard Edwards contributed 6 assists, with Scott and Camerin Lyons having 3 apiece.
The win keeps the Panthers (10-5) perfect in conference play. They next face Huntingdon on the road Wednesday at 8 p.m.
