Men's Soccer: Birmingham-Southern rallies for 4-3 win over Panthers

Men's Soccer: Birmingham-Southern rallies for 4-3 win over Panthers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Birmingham-Southern rallied for a 4-3 win over LaGrange on Friday night at Goldfarb Field at Berylson Soccer Park. The Panthers dipped to 4-2, while the host Panthers improved to 3-1-1.

LC opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game. Blake Webb knocked in a penalty kick for a quick 1-0 lead. The Panthers opened up a 2-0 lead on Lucas Duke's fifth goal of the season off an assist from Satchel Hart.

BSC answered Duke's goal a minute later. Will Pucek's score made it 2-1 in the 33rd minute and it remained that score at halftime.

The host Panthers retook the lead in the second half on a pair of Coleman Jennings goals. Enrique Hernandez's team-leading eighth goal of the season with an assist from Matthew Webb tied the game 3-3 in the 64th minute. But Jennings put in the game-winner three minutes after Hernandez's score to complete his hat trick.

BSC had a 25-8 advantage in shots, including 13-6 shots on goal edge. Andrew Cole had nine saves in goal for LC.

The Panthers host Mississippi University for Women on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
