The Panthers tied Pensacola Christian in a high scoring match, 3-3.
In the first half, the Panthers came out firing on offense. Matthew Webb delivered a great pass to senior Austin Anderson for him to take great shot to put the Panthers up 1-0. Pensacola Christian tied the game at 1-1 in the 18th minute when Chase Hawkins found Dakota Barchus in front of the net for a goal. In the 39th minute, sophomore Dylan Bailey had a clean pass to Junior Robel Teshome for him to knock in a goal. The first half ended with the Panthers up 2-1.
The second half started off quickly for the Panthers when Dylan Bailey kicked a goal in after a great pass from William Perry found him to put LC up 3-1 in the 48th minute. Pensacola Christian fought hard to come back, which started off with a goal from Giovanni Pauliello in the 57th. In the 78th minute, the Eagles tied the game at 3-3 with Chase Hawkins taking a great shot.
The final score was 3-3.
Men's soccer heads back home to open in-conference play against Maryville on Saturday (Sept. 23). The match will be held at Panther Field and kickoff is at 4 p.m.
