Covenant won 2-0 in the Saturday night CCS matchup (Sept. 30).
All was slow for both teams' offenses for the first 25 minutes, that was until Covenant hit a clean shot to go up 1-0 in the 27th. This was the only goal of the half. Neither team was able to get many shots on goal, there were less than six total in the first.
The second half continued to be a struggle for both teams to score a goal. In the 81st minute, Covenant was able to change that when they squeaked a goal past the Panther goalkeeper. This was the final points of the game.
The final score was a 2-0 Covenant win.
The team comes back home to play at Panther field against Piedmont on Oct. 3, at 5 p.m.
