LC took its first loss of the season 3-2 Saturday in a hard-fought match against University of the Ozarks at Panther Field.
The Panthers held the Eagles scoreless until the last 11 minutes of the match, giving up three goals in fairly quick succession.
"It was a difficult game, being our second of two days while their first of the weekend," said Head Coach Ryan Dickson. "We started slow and never really played our game.
"We fought well until the end, and we will learn a lot from today's game."
At the halfway mark, LC led 1-0 on a goal by Blake Webb with only 40 seconds remaining in the period.
The team's second was hit by Nicholas Smiech with only four minutes left in the contest. Unfortunately, in the seven minutes prior, the Eagles added three to the board.
Webb's goal was unassisted; Smiech had a hand from Lucas Duke.
Goalie Andrew Cole had four saves during the match.
The Panthers next opponent is Toccoa Falls on Wed., Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. at Panther Field.
