Men's Soccer: Panthers blank Pensacola Christian for season's second win

The Men's Soccer team continued its winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Pensacola Christian on Saturday at Panther Field.

The team posted a strong offense in the season's second game, outshooting their opponent 18-2, with 11 of those shots on goal.

The team's first goal came 20 minutes into the contest, as Lucas Duke found the net with an assist from Blake Webb. The score set off a series of attempts by the Panthers, ending with a goal 11 minutes later by Austin Anderson, assisted by Enrique Hernandez.

The second half's lone goal came from Hernandez with an assist from Dawson Davis at the 70-minute mark.

The Panthers were led by Hernandez who had nine shots (five on goal). He was followed by Lucas Duke and William Perry with 2 each.

The 2-0 Panthers will be back in competition on Friday, Sept. 9, against Centenary at home.
