Men's Soccer: Panthers remain unbeaten in CCS with 1-0 win at Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. - LaGrange stayed unbeaten in the Collegiate Conference of the South with a 1-0 win at Piedmont on Tuesday night. The Panthers are now 4-0-1 in the conference and 9-4-1 on the season.

Freshman Daniel Bojcic made his second start in goal for the Panthers. Bojcic got his first career clean sheet, stopping four shots on goal. The Panthers outshot the Lions (1-6-5, 1-1-1 CCS) 13-7 and had a 9-3 edge in corner kicks. There were eight yellow cards and two red cards handed out in the game.

The two teams played a scoreless first half, with neither getting a shot on goal. The Panthers got the game-winner in the 70th minute. Freshman Lucas Duke took a short pass from Blake Webb and sent the ball into the far post for a 1-0 lead. Bojcic turned away two attempts by the Lions in the final three minutes, the last with two seconds left.

The Panthers finish conference play Saturday at Belhaven.
