After starting the season off 1-0, the LaGrange College men's soccer team heads up to Sewanee, Tennessee to face the University Of The South in a scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The Panthers look to build off of last week's 3-2 scrimmage win over Truett-McConnell in another exhibition this weekend. Coach Dickson again plans on using the upcoming scrimmage to see which players worked on their skills during the offseason and which set of formations perform best with one another. Also, Coach Dickson mentioned last week that these two scrimmages are a good way to clean up the offseason rust against great competition.
The last time the two teams met was on Oct. 2, 2022, when Sewanee came back from a 1-0 deficit in the second half to win 2-1. Both goals for them in last year's match came from returning forward Trevor Reichman in the first ten minutes of the second half. This scrimmage against a very solid team should give the Panthers a tough preseason test.
