This Wednesday (Sept. 27), the Panthers travel to Huntingdon to continue CCS play with a tough match.
The matchup
The Panthers are 3-4-1 and 1-0 in the CCS on the season. In the last CCS matchup against Maryville, senior forward Enrique Hernandez scored two goals to put the Panthers on top 2-0. He leads the team in points with five goals and two assists. Huntingdon is 2-6 and 0-1 in the CCS so far this season. Junior forward Varian Carty leads the Hawks in goals with three. In their eight games, they have played three of the same teams. They lost to Birmingham-Southern 5-1, Oglethorpe 6-0 and Berry 2-0. The Panthers lost to Birmingham-Southern 1-0, Oglethorpe 3-0 and Berry 2-0. Although facing the same teams does not guarantee victory or defeat, it does provide fans with insights into how both teams have performed against the same opponents.
What to watch for
One thing to watch for is how the team bounces back from the 2-0 loss against Berry (Sept. 24). It will be interesting to see if the Panthers offense can find more success against the Hawks.
Where and when to watch
The match is at 7 p.m. at Huntingdon on Sept. 27. If you can not travel to the game but want to watch, it can be streamed here.
