The Panther volleyball team fell 3-0 in their away match against Belhaven tonight (Sept. 18).
The Panthers and Blazers first set stayed neck and neck with the score being 9-12. Although the Panthers continued to play hard, Belhaven was able to pull away to win 25-16.
In the second set, Belhaven had some shots go their way and quickly went up 17-6. LC was able to trade point for point the rest of the way, but it was a little too late for a comeback. The Panthers fell 25-13 in the second set.
The third set started off hot again for the Blazers, going up 20-12. The Panthers went on a roll to bring it to within 3, at 21-18. Sadly, Belhaven was able to do just enough to win the third set 25-18.
The Panther's next game is in a tri-match at Wesleyan on Sept. 23. They begin their day with a match against Berea at 2 p.m. followed by a game against Wesleyan at 4 p.m.
