The Panthers head to Agnes Scott this Saturday (Oct. 7) to compete against Maryville and Agness Scott in another weekend tri-match.
The Matchups
The Panthers are 2-11 (1-5 in the CCS) and are coming off of a loss against Huntingdon (Oct. 3). Maryville is 9-9 (4-2 in the CCS) and most recently lost to Covenant in a close 3-2 match (Oct. 3). Agnes Scott is 0-14 (0-5 in the CCS) and will play against Wesleyan (Oct. 5) before this weekend's tri-match. The last time the Panthers played Maryville, LC lost 3-0 (Nov. 1, 2022). In the previous matchup against Agnes Scott, the Panthers won 3-0 (Oct. 29, 2022).
What to watch for
While the Maryville match will be very tough to get a win, the Panthers have shown that they can compete against teams with better records. Watch to see how LC takes on this tough challenge. Another thing to pay attention to this weekend, is how the team views and plays against Agnes Scott. Even though they are still winless, this is very much not a 'gimme' win. As they continue their search for that elusive first victory, they will undoubtedly bring an intense effort to the game against the Panthers.
