The Panthers pack their bags and head to Florida for a showdown with the Eagles of Pensacola Christian, on Thursday (Sept. 14), at 6 p.m.
The matchup-
The Eagles are currently 4-4 on the season, with multiple 3-0 shutout wins over tough teams. The Panthers are 1-3, and are looking to add a second win with a victory over Pensacola Christian. The last time the two teams played (Sept. 30, 2022), the Eagles won 3-2 in a hard fought match-up.
Keys to victory-
One of the keys to winning this game is limiting service errors. The Panthers have killed themselves at times this season by committing a handful of errors. In the win over Wesleyan, the Panthers gave up a total of 8 service errors. After that game, Coach Schulte mentioned how the Panthers needed to limit those errors in order to beat the better teams in the conference. A player to look out for is sophomore middle back Zentrina Choice. In the 16 sets she has played, she has 19 kills while limiting herself to nine total errors.
