JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – LaGrange men's golf took on the very best in NCAA Division III at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, finishing 20-of-30 with rounds of 303-294-304-901 on Sunday, March 19.
Freshman Jeremy Edmunds (Charlotte, N.C.) continued an impressive first collegiate campaign as he shot a 74-68-73-215 to tie for 14-of-150 against the best golfers in DIII. He would be joined by fellow freshman Martin Prlender (Cordoba, Argentina) with a 72-73-73-218 that tied him for 25th while freshman Park Ward (Columbus, Ga.) was the next highest finisher with an 80-73-78-231 to tie for 102nd.
No. 3 Emory completed the journey to the tournament title with an 842 with No. 5 Carnegie Mellon (857), No. 1 Christopher Newport (862), No. 2 and defending national champion Methodist (864) and No. 14 Guilford (865) closing out the top five.
The Panthers are now off until March 27-28 when they head to Montgomery, Alabama for the Wynlakes Invitational.
