TUNICA, Miss. - The LaGrange golf team opened its fall schedule with a 10th place finish at the Rhodes Invitational. The Panthers posted a three round total of 905 over the Tunica National golf course.
LC was led by three freshmen. Eli Rogers tied for 25th with a 223 total. He tied for the team's low round of the tournament with an even par 72 in the second round. Garrett Armbrust was one shot back of Rogers at 224, tying for 31st. He fired a 72 in the first round of the tournament. Martin Prlender finished at 232, with a low round of 75 in the second round. Prlender recorded an eagle 3 on the par 5 seventh hole during the final round.
Junior Connor Gillespie and sophomore Luke Jarvis each had tournament totals of 234. Gillespie also eagled the par 5 seventh hole Monday.
The Panthers play in the Oglethorpe/Royal Lakes Fall Invitational at the Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club in Flowery Branch, Georgia on Oct. 10-11.
