ROME, Ga. - The LaGrange golf team closed out its fall season with a sixth place finish at the Chick-fil-A Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Stonebridge Golf Club.The Panthers moved up four spots in the standings with a final round team score of 299 for a team total of 613.
Freshman Jeremy Edmunds had rounds of 75 and 74 for a team-leading 149 total. Edmunds finished tied for 14th in the individual standings. Martin Prlender followed Edmunds at 154 after a final round 76.
Eli Rogers made the biggest jump up the standings in the final round. After a first round 83, Rogers came back with an even-par 72 to tie for 36th, climbing 39 spots for a 155 total. Rogers was four over through 10 holes, but rallied with two birdies and eagle over his last eight holes. On the par 4 16th hole, Rogers drove the green, then sank a 25-foot putt for an eagle 2.
Garrett Armbrust was two shots back of Rogers with a 157 total after a final round 77. Connor Gillespie closed out LC's scoring with a 163 total.
