FLORENCE, Ala. – LaGrange men's golf wrapped up the first 36 holes of The Shoals Intercollegiate sitting 15-of-16 with rounds of 315-315-630 at The Shoals Intercollegiate, a tournament featuring eight nationally ranked programs – including five from the Top-10.
Freshman Jeremy Edmunds (Charlotte, N.C.) led the way for the Panthers as he tied for 33-of-96 with rounds of 73-79-152 while fellow freshman Martin Prlender (Cordoba, Argentina) shot a 77-81-158 to tie for 64th. The next highest finisher for LC was freshman Garrett Armbrust (Woodstock, Ga.) who fired a 83-77-160 on the day to tie for 73rd.
No. 1 Emory and No. 3 Methodist lead the field with a 579 with No. 4 Carnegie Mellon (585), No. 15 Sewanee (591) and No. 7 Piedmont (594) rounding out the top five.
The Panthers will wrap up the final 18 holes of the tournament tomorrow, Tuesday, April 11. The entire field is set for a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.
