The Panthers storm back from a 5-point halftime deficit to win 72-52 over Agnes Scott (Jan. 16).
First half details
Despite only having two wins on the season, the Agnes Scott Terriers came out strong in tonight's game against the Panthers. From the start, Agnes Scott had a small lead over LC, but the Panthers never allowed the hosts to get too comfortable. At the end of the first quarter, Agnes Scott led 13-10. Laila Battle made a fantastic play when she stole the ball, drove it up the court, found an open Jasmine Owens and Owens hit a jump shot over her defender. The rest of the half continued to be very close, but Agnes Scott stayed in front. Agnes Scott led 30-25 at halftime.
Second half details
The Panthers began the second half going on a 5-0 run. Senior guard Ashley Free had the LC bench on their feet when she grabbed a steal off of a bad inbound and created an LC possession. At the end of the third quarter, Agnes Scott still held a tight 42-41 lead. The Panthers' shots began falling in the fourth quarter. LC outscored the host 31-10 in the fourth, to win 72-52.
Top Panther performance
Amanda Mclendon scored a team-high 16 points, shooting 46% from the field. She also secured a double-double after grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Panthers return home to take on Huntingdon this Saturday at 2 p.m.
