The Panthers completed a clean sweep over the weekend with Sunday's 77-50 win over Sewanee.
It was a strong effort by LC, and leaves the team at 2-1 after two games at the CCS/SAA Classic.
"We played a complete game today," said Head Coach Jasen Jonus. "Everyone got a chance to play and came off the bench to contribute."
At the close of a back-and-forth first period, the Panthers pulled away 21-17—and they never looked back. They led 45-32 at the half, and 63-40 at the end of the third period.
Offensively, the team was led by Gracie Brunel with 13 points. She was followed by Jada Strickland with 11.
LC played aggressively, gaining 21 points from turnovers and earning 15 from fast breaks. Amanda Mclendon led the team in rebounds, grabbing 6.
With everyone present getting a chance to play, the Panthers had 40 points from the bench.
"I'm really impressed with our defensive effort from start to finish," Coach Jonus said. "We are continuing to grow as a team each and every game."
