LAGRANGE, Ga. – With five games left in the regular season LaGrange (15-5, 9-2 CCS) women's basketball looks to strengthen their grip on the second seed in the upcoming Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Tournament as they host Piedmont (12-8, 8-3 CCS) on Tuesday, February 7. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. in Historic Mariotti Gym.
The Panthers have been one of the hottest teams in the region with wins in 10 of their last 12 games, including a season-high six-game win streak. Most recently Huntingdon (1/31) snapped that streak with a 59-56 decision before LC began a win streak anew with a 70-50 blowout of Maryville (2/3).
Piedmont, following their loss to LaGrange on January 25, has won three in a row, defeating Covenant (72-57 on 1/28), Wesleyan (96-37 on 1/31) and Agnes Scott (76-39 on 2/4).
ALL-TIME SERIES
Piedmont has dominated the all-time series 40-13 dating back to the 1999-2000 campaign. The Panthers had having dropped nine straight meetings, a stretch that dates back to 2017 before a 76-63 victory in Demorest, Georgia on January 25.
