LAGRANGE, Ga. – Riding a three-game winning streak, and six of their last seven, LaGrange (11-4, 5-1 CCS) women's basketball looks to continue to climb in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) standings as they make the return trip to Wesleyan (0-12, 0-8 CCS) Sunday, January 22. Game time is set for 2 p.m. Macon, Georgia.
The Panthers continue to be on a tear, coming in with six wins in seven outings since the end of 2022. That includes a three-game win streak with decisions over Huntingdon (64-51 on 1/11), Belhaven (79-63 on 1/14) and Covenant (75-50 on 11/17). Meanwhile the Wolves come in having dropped 40 in a row, claiming their last victory at Agnes Scott by a 68-28 margin on January 30, 2021. Most recently they fell at Maryville 80-36 on January 20.
ALL-TIME SERIES
LaGrange has dominated an all-time series that dates back to 1999-2000 with an incredible 38-2 mark. That includes a current 32-game winning streak and a 95-32 victory earlier this year at Mariotti Gym on January 3. That streak dates back to a 102-49 decision in 2004 while the Wolves only victories came by a 69-58 score the year prior and a narrow 87-86 win in 2001 in the fourth ever meeting.
