LaGrange College's women's basketball Head Coach Jasen Jonus secures his 50th career coaching win after beating CCS opponent Belhaven 95-74 (Jan. 2).
Coach Jonus first came to LaGrange College to earn his Master of Arts in Teaching in 2015. While earning his degree, Jonus began working as an Assistant Coach for the men's basketball program. From 2013-20 he was a part of the LC coaching staff, serving as the Associate Head Coach for the final three seasons. In 2020, Jonus took over as the Head Women's Basketball Coach.
In just 3.5 seasons, he has posted a superb 50-24 win/loss record, which gives him the highest winning percentage as a coach in program history. Jonus has had multiple Panthers playing for him earn First and Second Team All-Conference selections, as well as a Rookie of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year (CCS). After going 20-7 last season, Jonus was voted by other CCS coaches as the conference's Coach of the Year.
