The Panthers travel to take on CCS opponent Piedmont this Friday at 5 p.m. Following this game, the men's team will also be facing Piedmont.
The teams
The Panthers are 7-3 (1-0 CCS) and most recently beat Belhaven 95-74 (Jan. 2). Zyhia Johnson continues to lead LC in scoring with 20.1ppg, while shooting 48% from the field and 29% from three. Piedmont is 6-3 and is coming off of a 76-51 victory over Worcester State University (Dec. 30). Andelin Hill has scored a team-high 11ppg this season, while shooting 53% in field goals and 50% from beyond the arc.
The series
The Panthers are 14-33 all-time against the Piedmont Lions. The last time the two teams met, the Lions beat LC 75-73 (Feb. 25, 2023). The Panthers look to avenge this CCS Semifinal loss with a in-conference win this Friday (Jan. 5).
