LaGrange College president Susanna Baxter announced the promotion of Terlynn Olds to Vice President for Athletics and Recreation. The promotion is effective October 1.
"Terlynn joined LaGrange College in June of 2021 and has been an asset since day one," said Baxter. "In her brief tenure, Terlynn has hired six head coaches, instituted organizational changes to ensure teamwork and quality standards within athletics, and helped to raise more than $275,000 in athletic funding in FY22.
"Perhaps the most important contribution is that of building a student-athlete focused department to improve both playing and fan experiences."
Olds came to LaGrange after working as the executive senior associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She has served as the deputy athletics director at Grambling State University and the senior associate for internal and business operations at Chicago State University. She was the director of athletics at Chatham University and associate athletics director at Spelman College.
Her experience includes four terms as a head women's basketball coach. A member of several professional organizations, she has participated in numerous executive leadership programs sponsored by the NCAA. Olds also has served on key campus committees, as well as several athletic conference committees during her tenure in college athletics.
