Senior tight end De'Queze Fryer was named today to the American Football Coaches Association Division III All-America Second Team.
This is Fryer's third post-season honor. Earlier he was named to the D3football.com All-Region Second Team and also to the USA South Athletic Conference 2022 All-Conference Second Team.
Fryer had 35 receptions this season for 433 yards and averaged 12.4 yards with each catch. He scored eight of the Panthers' touchdowns and averaged 48.1 yards per game.
The AFCA team is unique in that is chosen exclusively by the coaches themselves. The group has selected an All-America team every year since 1945.
In 2021 Fryer also was named to the AFCA Division III All-America second team.
A Political Science major, he is from Macon, Georgia, and played for Jones County High School.
