Head football coach Todd Mooney announced the team players of the week for the Birmingham-Southern game.
Players of the week were: Offense-Jon Milner; Defense-Drew McAdams, Specialty Teams-Josh Stripling, Scout Offense-Sterling Sprouse and Scout Defense-Corneilus Harper.
Milner, a senior tackle, graded 87 percent and recorded four knockdown blocks. It marked the second year in a row Milner has been the Offense Player of the Week against Birmingham-Southern.
McAdams, a defensive end, led the team with 10 total tackles, including a tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry. The 10 total tackles was a career high for McAdams.
Stripling, a senior, set two new school punting game records and tied a third against Birmingham-Southern. He had a 64-yard punt in the second quarter, breaking his own record of 58 yards against Maryville in 2008. Stripling averaged 42.8 yards per punt in the game, topping the 42.5 yards per punt set in 2007 by Ike Thomas against Louisiana College. He tied Donald Piestrak's mark of 342 yards in a game punting set against Shorter in 2006.
