Head football coach Todd Mooney announced the team players of the week for the North Carolina Wesleyan game.
Players of the week were: Offense-Michael May; Defense and Specialty Teams-Anthony Cochran; Scout Offense-Emory Wingard and Scout Defense-Chris Vernet.
May completed 18-of-30 passes for a career-high 234 yards and a touchdown in less than three quarters of playing time. He entered the game after an injury to starter Drew Carter in the second quarter.
Cochran is the first Panther to be the player of the week for both defense and special teams in a game since 2007. He had eight tackles including a tackle for loss.
