LAGRANGE, Ga. – Two weeks removed from their last game and also one of the most impressive in program history, LaGrange (3-3, 0-0 USA South) men's lacrosse jumps back into action as they take on a pair of unfamiliar opponents in Carroll (1-3, 0-0 CCIW) and Capital (1-2, 0-0 OAC). They will face the Pioneers at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 11 and the Comets on Sunday, March 12 at 4 p.m. with both games at Nashville's Montgomery Bell Academy.
The Panthers are coming off of a 30-8 demolition of Centenary on February 26 that would see the program set a record for goals in a game and senior FOGO Jacob Jeffords (Marietta, Ga.) tie the NCAA Division III single game record for faceoff wins, notching 36 (36-of-42).
Carroll, meanwhile, fell 19-2 to Lake Forest (2/18) in their opener before notching a 7-6 overtime victory over Northland (2/26). Since that thriller they have dropped an 11-6 decision to Edgewood (3/1) and 8-7 to Monmouth College (3/4). Capital dropped their first two, falling 16-8 to Kenyon (2/25) and Wooster (14-7 on 3/1) before downing Adrian (3/8) by an 18-11 score. They will also face Hendrix on March 11 in advance of their game with LC.
SERIES HISTORY
The series history against both teams will be written this weekend as both are first time opponents.
