BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - LaGrange dropped its 2022 season opener Saturday, falling 23-2 at Birmingham-Southern. It was the season opener for both teams.
The Panthers' (0-1) scoring came from freshman Ryan Comeau and sophomore Michael St. John with a goal each. Comeau also assisted on St. John's goal.
Birmingham-Southern (1-0) had 10 different players score in the game. Raymond Fracchia had six goals and an assist for the host Panthers.
Birmingham-Southern led 5-0 after the first quarter. The host Panthers broke the game open with a 10-goal second period. LC got both of its goals in the quarter.
The Panthers host Berry on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Panther Field.
