LaGrange used a big fourth quarter to pull away from Brevard for a 21-6 USA South win Saturday at Panther Field. The Panthers evened their season record at 6-6 and improved to 3-2 in the conference.

LC had nine different players score in the game. Jack Bryan, Ryan Comeau, Peyton Gale, Michael Poteete each had three goals. Comeau added four assists. Ben Bryan, Sebastian Carazon, Aidan Story had two goals apiece. Will Howell and Selassie Richardson had a goal and two assists each. Jacob Jeffords set a new school game record of 17 ground balls, almost all of them resulting from face offs. The Panthers won 27 of the 30 face offs in the game.

The Panthers scored the first two goals of the game before Brevard (1-9, 0-5 USA South) evened the game at 2-2. Jack Bryan's goal with three seconds left in the period regained the lead for the Panthers.

In the second period, the Panthers twice led by two goals only to have the Tornados trim the lead to one each time. Poteete's first goal of the game gave LC a 6-4 lead with 6:10 left in the half. The goal was the first of 14 straight for the Panthers over the next three quarters.

The Panthers scored the final three goals of the second period to lead 8-4 at the break. They added two more in the third to lead 10-4 heading to the final period.

The Panthers scored 11 goals in the final quarter to break the game open. Story's third goal off an assist from Howell with 3:29 left provided the 21-6 final score.

The Panthers face Pfeiffer next Saturday in a USA South game at Panther Field. Game time is 1 p.m.
