Visiting Hendrix downed LaGrange 14-7 on Friday night at Panther Field. The Panthers are 1-4 now, while the Warriors evened their record at 2-2.
Ben Bryan and Aidan Story had two goals each for LC. Ryan Comeau, Will Howell, and Jacob Jeffords each had a goal. Story, Jack Bryan, and Peyton Gale each had an assist.
Jeffords won 15-of 23 faceoffs and had 10 ground balls. Isaac Bohrer had 18 saves in goal.
The Panthers jumped out to a 3-0 lead seven minutes into the game. Howell opened the scoring just 47 seconds into the game with an unassisted goal. Bryan scored back-to-back in a span of two minutes with assists from Story and Jack Bryan to make it 3-0.
Hendrix scored three straight goals to tie the game by the end of the first quarter. The Warriors continued their run with five unanswered goals in the second quarter to take an 8-3 lead. Comeau scored unassisted to make it an 8-4 game. Hendrix scored just 15 seconds before the half to lead 9-4 at the break.
Both teams traded goals in the third quarter. Hendrix pushed its lead to 14-5 with four straight goals in the fourth quarter. The Panthers closed out the scoring on Jeffords and Story's goals for the 14-7 final.
The Panthers host Point University on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
