Are you ready for bar-down goals, BTB passes and yard sales? Well, if you are, then good news, Panther lacrosse has something in store for you. And if you have no idea what any of that means, well, you have the opportunity to learn all of this while watching the fast and physical sport of lacrosse this spring at Callaway Stadium. The LaGrange College lacrosse team will be back in action very soon, and they are seeking to build on the success of last season.
Last year, the Panther lacrosse team broke the record for most wins (8-9) in the short four-year program history. There is a handful of talent returning from the 2023 team, and it is shaping up to be a fun and exciting season for LC lacrosse. One key player coming back this season is attackman Luke Young. As a freshman, Young scored 66 points off of 51 goals and 15 assists. He also had a 60% shot on goal percentage and 31 ground balls. His excellent performance earned him a spot on the USA South Second Team All-Conference team. Another key returner is senior midfielder Michael Poteete. In his three year career as a Panther, Poteets has 57 points on 43 goals and 14 assists. The Georgia native has started in a total of 38 games. These two are just some of the talent returning. There are a lot of impactful players returning and transfers coming to contribute to this years team.
The LaGrange College lacrosse games are free to attend and the full schedule can be viewed here.
