Each year, the nine USA South Conference lacrosse coaches vote on where they think each team should be ranked. In this year's poll, LC men's lacrosse was placed fourth out of nine teams (41 points). Last year, the Panthers finished tied for fifth place after going 4-4 in USA South play.
Pfeiffer was picked to win the conference after receiving 63 voting points and seven out of nine first place votes (coaches cannot vote for their team). Since the first USA South lacrosse preseason poll in 2018, the team picked to finish first has won the championship three out of the five years, including last year.
