LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (0-13, 0-7 CCS) women's tennis will take on regular season champion and top seeded Piedmont (16-2, 7-0 CCS) at the inaugural Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Tournament on Thursday, April 27. First serve is now set for 1 p.m., moved up an hour to avoid severe weather, and will be played indoors at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.
The Panthers have lost their first 13, with their closest contest being a 5-4 defeat at Berea on April 1. They closed the regular season with an 8-1 loss to Piedmont (4/14), fell 9-0 at Covenant (4/15), dropped a 6-3 decision to Agnes Scott (4/22) and lost to Point (4/24) by a 5-2 score.
PU comes in having won eight of their last nine matches, including four in a row since April 11. That stretch began with a 9-0 victory over Agnes Scott and included the win over LC and 9-0 decisions over Huntingdon (4/15) and Belhaven (4/22).
