Junior Jack Bryan and sophomore Jhalil Daniels became the first LaGrange College men's lacrosse players to earn USA South All-Conference recognition, as the two elite student-athletes were named to the West Division team at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
Sophomore Joshua Hargrove was recognized by the conference office for his superb work ethic and team-first mindset, being named to the All-Sportsmanship team. The Panthers continued to build winning habits during their second season and are looking forward to a vibrant future. They took Huntingdon and Division II Shorter down to the wire in two-goal losses on the road.

"The COVID-19 pandemic caused us to only play 15 games in our first two seasons," said LaGrange College men's lacrosse head coach Brandon Sewell. "We have shown the improvement and grit that a lot of young teams do not."
LaGrange was competitive in its home opener against a talented Birmingham-Southern team during a 13-10 setback at Callaway Stadium. Sophomore Tareyon Delgado and Bryan tied career-highs with six goals and three assists, respectively.
LC scored four unanswered goals to begin the second half, rallying from a five-goal hole and cutting the deficit down to 9-8 on freshman Selassie Richardson's first collegiate goal with 3:50 left in the third quarter. A man-up goal by Delgado trimmed Birmingham-Southern's lead to 11-10 with 1:46 remaining in the fourth.
"This was a challenging year, but our guys worked together as a team and persevered," said Sewell. "Our record does not reflect the quality of team that we are. In our game against Birmingham-Southern, we showed how far we have come in just a year. That is a team that beat us by 15 in 2020. With two minutes left in the game this year, we were only down one with opportunities to tie the game."
Bryan and Delgado led the team with 12 points, respectively. Delgado was No. 1 on the squad in goals (10) and Bryan ranked first in assists (6). Sophomore Jaxon Crews and freshman Michael St. John each finished with three goals and two assists.
Sophomore goalie Isaac Bohrer took the next step, turning away double-digit shots three times and averaging 11.2 saves per game. He set a career-high with 22 saves in the season finale against Huntingdon on April 25 at Callaway Stadium.
