Maryville downed cold-shooting LaGrange 86-56 in a USA South game Sunday in Mariotti Gym. The Panthers slipped to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Junior Jalen McCallum led the Panthers with game highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds. McCallum was 7-of-9 from the floor and 4-of-6 at the free throw line. Freshman Julian Cameron followed with 15 points, 12 coming off 3-point shots.
Maryville (6-3, 3-0 USA South) led 36-27 and steadily pulled away in the second half. The Scots held the Panthers to 34.4 percent shooting in the game. Kaleb Estes led four Scots in double figures with 14 points.
The Panthers play at Brevard on Wednesday.
