DECATUR, Ga. - LaGrange held on for a 74-65 GSAC win over Agnes Scott at Woodruff Gym on Wednesday. The Panthers improved to 14-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference. Agnes Scott slipped to 6-9 overall and 3-5 in the GSAC.
Katie Covington and Summer Bush each had 13 points for the Panthers. Caroline Brashier and Stefanie Schuck added 11 points each. Holli Vann had a team-high nine rebounds.
Genefine Sapateh led Agnes Scott with a game-high 18 points. Arielle Register added 14 points.
The Scotties led 32-31 at halftime. The Panthers opened up a 53-40 lead with 13 minutes left. The Scotties got as close as two points in the closing minutes as the Panthers held on.
The Panthers are on the road Saturday against GSAC front-runner Maryville. Game time is 2 p.m.
