LaGrange sophomore Katie Covington was selected by D3hoops.com to its All-Region team announced Monday. Covington was a third team selection to the All-South Region team.
Covington was the GSAC Player of the Year for the 2010-11 season. She was named to the GSAC All-Conference team for thesecond year in a row. Covington led the Panthers and the GSAC in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game. She also led the team and GSAC with a 81.3 free throw percentage.
Covington led the team in rebounding, averaging 7.9 rebounds per game. Her 17.6 points per game average was the best in school history. Covington also reset her own school records for free throws made and free throws attempted. She made 178 free throws in 219 attempts this season.
