Junior guard Julian Cameron is the USA South Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 15. Cameron is the first Panther named to the weekly award since Alex Bonner in 2017.
Cameron had his first career double-double in a 91-82 win over USA South rival Maryville in LC's only game of the week. Cameron had a game-high 24 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. He added two assists, a steal, and a block. Cameron leads the team and the USA South in scoring, averaging 26.5 points per game. He is shooting 53.3 percent from the field, including 41.9 percent from 3-point range, and 80.6 percent from the free throw line. Cameron has scored 20 or more points in all six games this season, the longest streak in the program's NCAA era.
