LaGrange hosted Huntingdon in a USA South doubleheader Thursday at the LaGrange College Softball Complex.
The visiting Hawks (19-12, 15-5 USA South) took both games from the Panthers (19-11, 10-10 USA South); winning the first game 6-0 and taking the second game 7-2.
Olivia Wolfe hit a solo home run for the Panthers in the fifth inning of the second game. The home run was her sixth of the season, tying her with Alison Jiles for the team lead.
Dani Gravett drove in the other run for the Panthers with an infield single in the third inning. Gravett (3-5) took the loss on the mound; allowing five runs in 3-1/3 innings.
The Panthers finished with eight hits in the second game. Kalin Oglesby had a pair of infield hits.
Wolfe (11-4) pitched four innings in the first game. She allowed all six runs, five of those earned. Kara Patterson pitched in relief in both games, surrendering two runs in 6-2/3 innings.
Brooke Turner had two hits, including a double in the first game.
The Panthers host Methodist and N.C. Wesleyan in USA South doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday beginning at noon each day.
