The LaGrange College Athletic Department presented its Eagle Award, along with its top academic student-athlete awards in ceremonies Thursday in Callaway Auditorium.
Senior Courtney Beshel received the Dr. Waights G. Henry Academic Award, named for the former LaGrange College president, and given to the female scholar-athlete with the highest overall grade point average.
Courtney was a member of the softball team for four years. She batted .278 with two home runs and 16 RBIs during the 2014 season. She has a 3.97 GPA and is a biology major.
