The LaGrange baseball team is ranked 16th in the latest D3baseball.com Top 25 poll released by the website Tuesday.
The Panthers are off to a 12-1 start, the best in the program's history. The national ranking is the first for LC since starting play in the USA South conference in 2013. The Panthers' only loss this season is to Birmingham-Southern, who is ranked third in the poll.
LaGrange will put its national ranking on the line tonight at Oglethorpe. The Panthers defeated the Stormy Petrels 9-4 at the Firehouse Classic on Feb. 12. LC will play a three-game USA South series at Piedmont beginning Friday.
