Seniors Ryan Broaderick and Blake Butcher were named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-America second team. The selections, along with Casey Bell named to the D3baseball.com All-America first team, gives LaGrange three All-Americans for the first time in the program's history.
Broaderick was the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Pitcher of the Year and the USA South Pitcher of the Year. He was also a USA South All-Conference first team selection for the second straight year. Broaderic finished with a 9-0 record and a 1.93 ERA. In two seasons with the Panthers, he posted a 17-2 record with a 1.74 ERA. Broaderick's 1.74 career ERA is the lowest ever in the program's history based on a minimum of 120 innings pitched.
Butcher, a third baseman, was named to both the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region and D3baseball.com All-South Region teams. He was a first team USA South All-Conference selection for the second straight season. Butcher batted .342 and led the team with seven home runs and 50 RBIs. He became the first Panther since 2010 to have 50 RBIs in a season. Butcher's career .626 slugging percentage is the highest ever by a Panther. As a junior, he was the USA South Player of the Year.
