Senior designated hitter Casey Bell was named to the 2017 D3baseball.com All-America first team as announced by the website.
Bell was the 2017 USA South Player of the Year and a first team All-Conference selection. He was also named 2017 D3baseball.com All-South Region first team and ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region second team as the designated hitter.
Bell batted .374 this season with three home runs and 49 RBIs. He led the team and the USA South with 22 doubles. For his career, Bell had a .330 batting average, five home runs and 132 RBIs. He is ranked in the top 10 in four school batting categories, including hits (212), at-bats (642), RBIs, and doubles (48). As a junior, Bell set new school, USA South, NCAA Division III records with 27 sacrifice bunts.
