LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (2-2, 0-0 USA South) men's lacrosse continues a season-high tying three-game homestand as they host Birmingham-Southern (3-1, 0-0 SAA) in non-conference action on Wednesday, February 22. Faceoff is set for 5 p.m. at Callaway Stadium.
Following back-to-back losses on the road to Hendrix (20-13 on 2/11) and Berry (19-5 on 2/15), the Panthers are coming off a dominant 15-5 victory over Oglethorpe (2/18) in their most recent outing. BSC comes in having opened the season with three straight wins over Piedmont (19-2 on 2/11), Huntingdon (21-8 on 2/14) and Illinois Wesleyan (17-7 on 2/17) but dropped a 17-13 decision at Elmhurst (2/19) in their most recent outing.
SERIES HISTORY
LaGrange has faced Birmingham-Southern in each of its first three years of existence and trails 3-0 all-time. BSC posted an 18-3 victory in Alabama on February 8, 2020 in the program's first ever game before the Panthers bounced back on February 25, 2021 with a narrow 13-10 loss at home. Most recently Birmingham-Southern posted 23-2 decision in Birmingham on February 5, 2022
