LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (4-4, 0-0 USA South) men's lacrosse begins their quest for a USA South title against defending champion Southern Virginia (1-5, 0-0 USA South) for just the second time in program history when the two programs meet on Saturday, March 18. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at Callaway Stadium in LaGrange, Georgia.
The Panthers come in having won two of their last three, rocking Centenary (2/26) with a 30-8 victory and downing Carroll (3/11) by a 15-5 score. Most recently they fell 26-11 to Capital (3/12) with both of the two most recent outings being played in Nashville, Tennessee.
It has not been a strong start for the Knights, however as they dropped their first five outings, falling by nine or mor goals four times. Most recently of those they dropped games on the road to Centre (18-8 on 2/25) and Baldwin Wallace (10-4 on 3/4) and at home to Grove City (17-6 on 3/11). SVU finally got on the board with an 8-6 victory at Birmingham-Southern on Friday, March 17.
SERIES HISTORY
The series against Southern Virginia amounts to exactly one game, that being a 25-8 loss in Buena Vista, Virginia on March 19, 2022.
