LAGRANGE, Ga. – LaGrange (7-8, 3-4 USA South) men's lacrosse heads into the final game of the regular season looking to solidify their first trip to the USA South Tournament as they travel to William Peace (7-6, 3-4 USA South) on Saturday, April 29. Opening faceoff is set for 5 p.m.
The Panthers come in having lost two of their last three games, posting a thrilling 21-20 victory over Methodist (4/8) before falling 14-5 to USA South leader Piedmont (4/19) and 24-8 to league power Pfeiffer (4/22).
The Pacers have won four of their last five, bludgeoning Brevard (17-5 on 4/1) and Warren Wilson (28-1 on 4/11) before falling at defending USA South Champion Southern Virginia (15-7 on 4/15). Most recently they beat Greensboro (14-9 on 4/19) and Huntingdon (19-14 on 4/22).
Both teams come in tied with Methodist and will battle for seeds 4-6 in the upcoming USA South Tournament.
SERIES HISTORY
LaGrange and William Peace have met just once, that coming on April 2, 2022 in Raleigh, North Carolina. In that one the Pacers notched a 16-12 victory.
