LaGrange senior Kayla Folds was named the USA South Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 24. Folds helped the Panthers to a 4-2 record, with all games in the USA South.
Folds was 3-0 with a 1.31 earned run average in four appearances. She got both wins in a sweep of Averett, winning the first game in relief then throwing a complete game in the second game. Folds threw a total of 16 innings, allowing just three earned runs on 10 hits. She had three walks and struck out 12.
In the last week, Folds has lowered her ERA from 4.38 to 3.35 and now has a 5-4 record on the season.
