Senior Kayla Folds was presented the Dr. Waights G. Henry Academic Award given by the LaGrange College Athletic Department in a ceremony Wednesday in the Dickson Assembly Room.
The award is named for the former LaGrange College president, and given to the female scholar-athlete with the highest overall grade point average. Kayla has a 3.77 GPA and is majoring in Biology.
Kayla played four years for the Panther softball team. She earned Great South Athletic Conference All-Academic honors as a sophomore and junior. This season, she tied for fourth in the USA South with 13 wins. Kayla was on the USA South All-Tournament team and represented the team on the USA South All-Sportsmanship team.
