ROME, Ga. - Berry pulled away in the second half for a 66-50 win over LaGrange on Monday at the Cage Center. It was the seventh straight loss for the Panthers, now 2-18.
Blake Craft led the Panthers with 15 points, 13 coming in the first half. Nic Whitfield added nine points.
Tim Miles led Berry with a game-high 18 points. David Holloman had a double-double of 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
Berry held the Panthers to 33.9 percent shooting in the game. The Vikings out scored the Panthers 27-7 at the free throw line.
Craft's 3-pointer gave the Panthers a 12-6 lead five minutes into the game. The Vikings came back to lead 31-28 at halftime.
In the second half, free throws by Whitfield and Stephen Spivey put the Panthers up 46-44 with 9:15 left in the game. From there, the Panthers made only two shots down the stretch.
Mac Whalen hit a 3-pointer to put the Vikings up 48-46. Whalen's shot started a 22-4 run by the Vikings to finish the game.
The Panthers travel to Rust College next Sunday for a non-conference game.
