Adrienne Little sparked the Panthers' 11-hit attack in Game 1. Little had a double and a triple, along with driving in two runs. Maegan Harrison also had two hits and an RBI.
The Panthers built a 3-0 lead in their first two at-bats. Little's triple in the first inning drove in Kalin Oglesby with the game's first run. Harrison followed with a single to score Little to make it 2-0. Oglesby's bunt single allowed Carolyn Harkness to come home in the second for the Panthers' third run.
Greensboro came back with three runs in the second and another in third off Dani Gravett (7-3) to take a 4-3 lead. Gravett went the distance on the mound; allowing the four runs on seven hits. She walked seven and struck out three.
The Panthers tied the game up in the fourth. Jessica Smith had a single with one out. Gravett's two-out base hit drove in Smith with the tying run.
In the sixth, the Panthers took the lead for good. Grayson West walked to lead off the inning. Ashely Chafin, running for West, moved over to third on a passed ball and a sacrifice bunt. Gravett's fly out brought in Chaffin with the go-ahead run. Brooke Turner kept the inning going with a single and came all the way around to score when Little followed with a double for a 6-4 lead.
In the second game, Greensboro got three runs off Kara Patterson (3-2) in the second inning. Patterson would blank the Pride over her last four innings, finishing with three walks and two strikeouts.
The Panthers got a run each in the fourth and fifth innings. Harrison and Sydney Hodorff had back-to-back doubles to drive in the first Panther run. In the fifth, Gravett's two-out RBI single drove in Chafin to make it 3-2. The Panthers had a runner in scoring position in the seventh inning but a double play ended the game.
